Blog of the week - Awkward family photos

Just got back from a weeks holiday so lots to do, trying to read over 100 emails, sorting out all the photos and catching up on all the other blogs. The holiday was great but something went in my back and I spent nearly 2 days immobile, still the rest of the time I was fine and we managed to do what we wanted.

Getting back was even more fun as we had to leave Kep at home and we had both missed him loads. Kep is well on the mend and is nearly back to his old self, although he can not manage the stairs yet.

As its Monday here is the blog of the week, this blog has not been going too long and is a bit of light relief in a world that seems to be getting more and more depressing (post holiday blues!). The blog is Awkward family photos, and as the name suggest that what it’s all about, those really bad pictures you just want to keep hidden or not as is the case here. This could be a real how not to take portraits site, lots of thing you should avoid when photographing your family.

Climate change, I have to admit that I’m very skeptical about the existence of climate change and the whole global warming thing. My basis for this is that we (humans) have only been here for such a short time and for a large period of that were not really in a position to judge what was happening around us. I wrote this as part of the second days post: “365 different photos, I’m daunted and intrigued at the same time. Daunted with the task of taking the images and writing words to tie it all together and intrigued at what will be here in a year’s time. Will anybody see this? Will it make any sense?” 70,849 words, 367 photos, 3014 comments, and 43358 visitors from 164 countries later and it’s all done, I’m 42 and have the answer to those questions. Have you ever put something off, that you really should have done, I have, getting assessed for dyslexia. Nearly my whole life I have had problems spelling, and have done every thing to avoid getting tested, why, because I was scared that I would not have it and be told I was just thick or lazy. Well yesterday I got tested, and the results surprised me. First I was informed that my reading ability was good to high, next I was informed that I have an IQ of over 120 (140 and over Genius or near genius 120-140 Very superior intelligence 110-120 Superior intelligence 90-110 Normal or average intelligence 80-90 Dullness 70-80 Borderline deficiency Below 70 Definite feeble-mindedness 70-80 Borderline deficiency 50-69 Moron 20-49 Imbecile below 20 Idiot.) They have changed the lower classification for a more PC wording but this is the original.
