Eurythmics- Would I lie to you

Let the music take control, that’s what they say, feel the music, well this track really moved me, let me set the scene. I’d met a girl, we had started dating, I was very young, the young bit is my excuse for what follows. It was the works Christmas party and much drink was taken, again part of my defense for what happened latter. So young and full of drink I take to the dance floor with my new girlfriend, and we danced me very badly, to a number of tracks and then this track comes on the disco. My date dances and sang and I had a moment of rapture and with out any thought, proposed! By the time my ears had reported the fact to my brain, it was to late. Time stood still, my new girlfriend looked at me, and laughed. As she later said it was obvious to her that the words were as much as a surprise to me as it was to her, the look of shock on my face was a picture. In an act of great kindness she turned me down.

To days picture is a rat, i call it Sibel, it seems to like the bird food!
