Blog of the week. Ramsay daily photo

As promises the announcement of my first blog of the week and as it’s the first I had lots to choose from, which probably made it harder. So what am I looking for in a blog of the week? Well a good blog, one that interesting, well written or well photographed or both, one that is a cut above the rest and can inspire people to keep there own blogs going. Also I’m looking for the blogs that promote a better way of doing things or have a fresh take on old ideas.

So the first Blog of the week is Ramsay daily photo by Babooshka.

This was one of the first blogs I started to read regularly and has always gone that bit farther than other daily photo blogs, for a start it is just as much about the writing than the photos and Babooshka supports others blogger by commenting, and not just little “I’ve been here” comments, but good insightful feedback. She inspired me to start the Leek daily photo blog and has picked up my spirits with her comments on countless occasions.

I know that this is one of her busiest weeks with the TT races taking place, but I hope that she will do a guest blog for me in the near future.

Oh bugger I've gone all soft and mushy. Thank you for such kind words and recognition. I agree so many to view but I'm always amazed at the sheer talent and often raw humour of fellow bloggers. Right about the busy week. Really lifted my spirits today in what is come down to earth week for me. Of course the song the icing on the cake.

Climate change, I have to admit that I’m very skeptical about the existence of climate change and the whole global warming thing. My basis for this is that we (humans) have only been here for such a short time and for a large period of that were not really in a position to judge what was happening around us. An even smaller period of time is the length of time we have been able to accurately measure things like temperature or the size of the ice caps, so to be able to say that things are changing outside of the norm, when we really have no idea what the norm is, is like seeing a snow flake and predicting the start of an ice age. I wrote this as part of the second days post: “365 different photos, I’m daunted and intrigued at the same time. Daunted with the task of taking the images and writing words to tie it all together and intrigued at what will be here in a year’s time. Will anybody see this? Will it make any sense?” 70,849 words, 367 photos, 3014 comments, and 43358 visitors from 164 countries later and it’s all done, I’m 42 and have the answer to those questions. Yes somebody has seen it and no it really does not make much sense, but that really does not seem to matter that much. I wanted to mark the passing of a year in my life and have ended up with a fantastic record of a year in both words and pictures. More than that it has changed my life, I have gained a confidence I never had, I can write without fear, my photography skill has improve and I realise that you can do nearly anything if you work at it. Have you ever put something off, that you really should have done, I have, getting assessed for dyslexia. Nearly my whole life I have had problems spelling, and have done every thing to avoid getting tested, why, because I was scared that I would not have it and be told I was just thick or lazy. Well yesterday I got tested, and the results surprised me. First I was informed that my reading ability was good to high, next I was informed that I have an IQ of over 120 (140 and over Genius or near genius 120-140 Very superior intelligence 110-120 Superior intelligence 90-110 Normal or average intelligence 80-90 Dullness 70-80 Borderline deficiency Below 70 Definite feeble-mindedness 70-80 Borderline deficiency 50-69 Moron 20-49 Imbecile below 20 Idiot.) They have changed the lower classification for a more PC wording but this is the original. Lastly I was informed that I am Dyslexic and my writing and spelling were well below what my intelligence suggested (that why it takes me forever
