I am Keyser Söze

Taking photos is like taking drugs, at lest for me it is. No matter how much I try to stop I end up grabbing a camera and shooting something. That said shooting for this has been a problem, although I take lots of picture, they are of a very few different subjects. Part of the reason to do this was to stretch me creatively. So today I got creative, and hungry.

While surfing to day I came across this a nice dog story, Staff Sergeant Iron of the US Army in Iraq has a very important job. He is the first to check out if a building has been booby-trapped. Trust me it’s a dog story, read the ode at the bottom of the article.

HA HA! I love this! It's just so cool. I think you should recreate other memorable film scenes in this way - Leonard Di Jellybaby and Kate on the bow of the Titanic for instance, or the famous Alien scene, which would be spectacular (and sticky - "In Space No-one Can Hear You Chew"). Obviously Jaws would be a great one ("you're gonna need a bigger bag...") and the Steve McQueen Great Escape motorcycle scene would be fascinating... I shall watch with interest!

Climate change, I have to admit that I’m very skeptical about the existence of climate change and the whole global warming thing. My basis for this is that we (humans) have only been here for such a short time and for a large period of that were not really in a position to judge what was happening around us. I wrote this as part of the second days post: “365 different photos, I’m daunted and intrigued at the same time. Daunted with the task of taking the images and writing words to tie it all together and intrigued at what will be here in a year’s time. Will anybody see this? Will it make any sense?” 70,849 words, 367 photos, 3014 comments, and 43358 visitors from 164 countries later and it’s all done, I’m 42 and have the answer to those questions. Yes somebody has seen it and no it really does not make much sense, but that really does not seem to matter that much. I wanted to mark the passing of a year in my life and have ended up with a fantastic record of a year in both words and pictures. More than that it has changed my life, I have gained a confidence I never had, I can write without fear, my photography skill has improve and I realise that you can do nearly anything if you work at it. You known how it is, you’ve loads to do and not much time, but with a little luck and a bit of careful planning and you can fit it all in and than someone makes you BLOG OF NOTE!!!!!! WOW, Arghhhhhhhhhh!. From around 25 readers to 3451 by the end of the day, and what a post to have on the blog, I nearly did not write it, it was very personal and maybe too private to share, but I known that there are others, like me, out there and thought that if it just helped one person it made the risk worth while, well its shared now.
