Hello out there

WOW! Thank you for all the comments, it was like Christmas reading the comments as they were mailed to me, it is so fascinating hearing about peoples normal lives and the fact that they are just the same but different to mine really makes me feel part of the world. It great that lots of you are looking forward to spending time with families or friends, put paid to the idea of a lot of sad lonely people hunched over their keyboards with not a soul in the world. Lots of interesting jobs going on, but most would rather be at home reading, drinking coffee or in bed. All of which I can agree with whole heartedly. Then there is the blogs, some I have seen a number of times, others I remember visiting and am glad I have rediscovered. My blog counter tells me each day where people have come from and now I can put a face to some of those visitors, Isabella, I always wonder who was visiting from Sweden and now I know. David loved your blog, I really hope all goes well, Suburbia, take it, it really is an excellent idea, and Nella after reading your blog I bet your morning coffee is fantastic and is not on its own, Gingerbread Biscotti perhaps?
So again thank you and if you feel you missed out pop back to the post and have ago, there’s no time limit. If you feel like doing it on your blog I can really recommend it, a last thank you to Marjolein who's idea it was in the first place.

Narnia sums this up. Sorry for not dropping by, things well have crashed as you know. It seems it's better to keep Jonaton ross in Hairspray and z list celebs in ballgowns than an artist in work. I'm very Bah humbug at the moment.
Laptop dead so on a beg borrow and steal basis at the moment. Keep up the stunning work. A;ways a lift to drop by.

Oh jeez! That's just "wow". Have you read the short story "Harrison Bergeron"? Look it up on google. Basically, I'm so glad that your talent is not chained down. (You'll understand after you've read the story).

It does look like the titles of Secret Army. All the shots were along French streets, canals and tree lined roads. I think the last picture was of the sea as if that was the final escape. Great photo as usual Brett.

Climate change, I have to admit that I’m very skeptical about the existence of climate change and the whole global warming thing. My basis for this is that we (humans) have only been here for such a short time and for a large period of that were not really in a position to judge what was happening around us. An even smaller period of time is the length of time we have been able to accurately measure things like temperature or the size of the ice caps, so to be able to say that things are changing outside of the norm, when we really have no idea what the norm is, is like seeing a snow flake and predicting the start of an ice age. I wrote this as part of the second days post: “365 different photos, I’m daunted and intrigued at the same time. Daunted with the task of taking the images and writing words to tie it all together and intrigued at what will be here in a year’s time. Will anybody see this? Will it make any sense?” 70,849 words, 367 photos, 3014 comments, and 43358 visitors from 164 countries later and it’s all done, I’m 42 and have the answer to those questions. Yes somebody has seen it and no it really does not make much sense, but that really does not seem to matter that much. I wanted to mark the passing of a year in my life and have ended up with a fantastic record of a year in both words and pictures. More than that it has changed my life, I have gained a confidence I never had, I can write without fear, my photography skill has improve and I realise that you can do nearly anything if you work at it. You known how it is, you’ve loads to do and not much time, but with a little luck and a bit of careful planning and you can fit it all in and than someone makes you BLOG OF NOTE!!!!!! WOW, Arghhhhhhhhhh!. From around 25 readers to 3451 by the end of the day, and what a post to have on the blog, I nearly did not write it, it was very personal and maybe too private to share, but I known that there are others, like me, out there and thought that if it just helped one person it made the risk worth while, well its shared now.
