Room with a view

When did you last change your wall paper? No not in your room, on your computer, you known the picture that sits behind everything else, was it last week, last month, or is it still what the computer came with? With me it was less than 10 minuets ago and that will be true for as long as I’m on the pc. The reason my view keeps changing is that I use a program called Johns Background Switcher, one of the best free programs I’ve ever down loaded. It’s simple to use, load the program, point it to the photos you want, you can specify which pictures to choose from:

  • Individual pictures on your computer.
  • Folders containing pictures on your computer such as ‘My Pictures’.
  • Flickr photo sharing - selecting pictures by person, tags, sets or just plain random. You never know what you’re going to get next!
  • Phanfare web albums - keep up to date with your friends and family.
  • smugmug photo galleries - yours, your friends, anybody’s!
  • Picasa Web Albums - choose from specific albums or any search text.
  • Facebook - your friends photos on your desktop!
  • Yahoo! image search - the internet is your oyster!

Then chose the length of time you want the image on for and hit start. I’ve used it for over 6 months and love the fact that when I close my browser I’m surprised with a new picture, mine are all of me and my friends climbing mountains, lots of great memory’s.

I have just entered a photo competition on the Thinkcamera web site, any votes would be very welcome, just follow the link. Another hawk shot, that beak looked very menacing.

They're the opposite of dolphins in the facial expression department - hawks always look stern and menacing. I wanted to be a falconer once, long ago. I love them.

Erm, I don't see the point in changing the wallpaper on your PC - it's not like it does anything! I spend more time looking at programs/internet sites/FreeCell so there's no point.

Aww, thanks for the kind comment on JJS! It's nice to think that I'm helping to introduce people to new music (and older stuff that might be overlooked of course).
Ciao

P.S. On this post you've spelt "view" as "veiw" - just thought you'd like to know but I'm picky and always notice daft stuff like this!
