Don't lurk, say Hi!
This is my 183rd post, ½ way, maybe not the light at the end of the tunnel, but certainly started on the homeward leg. 183 pictures, 50 pages of writing, 30500 words, 850 comments and 24700 visitors from 163 countries, when I started I expected to be read by a few friends and a dozen or so others who just happened by, I thought that it would be just about the photos and that it would be easy. How wrong, I find the photos harder and harder, last year I took about 24 good shots, ones I would be happy to put on the net, and did not think about that till after I had started this, taking photo is easy but taking good ones that are all different, to a time limit, is very hard. The writing that just started as a filler (well they give you so much space) has become as important to me as the photos and as enjoyable. So on to the down ward slope, to day the picture is, fittingly, from the down ward part of our walk from the top of the old man of Coniston. It is part of the old mine workings and although a scar on the landscape I think that they are quite beautiful in their own way.
