Monday complaints

The weekends seem to go so fast, one moment were planning what to do, the next it’s Monday and back to work. The main thing about Monday is that I have to catch up with all the stuff that has happened over the weekend on the blog and sort out stuff that has come up at home. Of the second list the thing I’m not looking forward to doing is a complaint call to Thompson, the holiday company. They have replied to our complaint about the standard of food at the hotel in Slovenia, and I have now got to reply to that as it falls well short of what we were after. I’m not a big fan of the so call claim culture, but when you have paid for one thing and ended up with something else then I think its right to seek an adjustment. Given that, I’m still not happy about having to ring and complain, I’m just not that sort of person.

Iron Maiden? That was a surprise. I never used to complain, but I'm all for it now. Don't leave it to someone else, make a stand. Autumn is my favurite season to photograph, but todays image, the almost gaunt drained colour has a charm all of it's own. The soft focus edging to reminds me of the film Blow up, the voyaristic feel.

I agree with Babooshka here - what's with Iron Maiden? Didn't think you were into that kind of thing!

But er, she also seems quite obsessed with the film Blow Up - not that it matters, it's a great shot!!!

I wrote this as part of the second days post: “365 different photos, I’m daunted and intrigued at the same time. Daunted with the task of taking the images and writing words to tie it all together and intrigued at what will be here in a year’s time. Will anybody see this? Will it make any sense?” 70,849 words, 367 photos, 3014 comments, and 43358 visitors from 164 countries later and it’s all done, I’m 42 and have the answer to those questions. Yes somebody has seen it and no it really does not make much sense, but that really does not seem to matter that much. I wanted to mark the passing of a year in my life and have ended up with a fantastic record of a year in both words and pictures. Have you ever put something off, that you really should have done, I have, getting assessed for dyslexia. Nearly my whole life I have had problems spelling, and have done every thing to avoid getting tested, why, because I was scared that I would not have it and be told I was just thick or lazy. Well yesterday I got tested, and the results surprised me. First I was informed that my reading ability was good to high, next I was informed that I have an IQ of over 120 (140 and over Genius or near genius 120-140 Very superior intelligence 110-120 Superior intelligence 90-110 Normal or average intelligence 80-90 Dullness 70-80 Borderline deficiency Below 70 Definite feeble-mindedness 70-80 Borderline deficiency 50-69 Moron 20-49 Imbecile below 20 Idiot.)
