Wheelie good

Spent the day catching up with things I’ve not been able to do while under the weather. This involved a call the council to report the disappearance of one wheel off my wheelie bin, it went missing last week but in my infinite wisdom I thought that it would work with just one. This proved to be true when empty but was totally wrong when full, hence the phone call, and what a pleasant experience, the girl was polite, had a sense of humour (laughed when I referred to the bin as a wheel bin) and wasted no time sorting out my problem.
Also spent some time surfing the blogs, and visited lots of people I had lost touch with, great fun and it made me realise just how much this gets into your blood. I’ve never been xenophobic but also I’ve had little to do with people from other countries and now exchange comments with people from all over the world and glimps their daily lives.

Truly wonderful family portrait. Blogging has introduced me to a rich and wonderful virtual world of places I knew little about and cultures that we only know through the media. To interect with real people who take real, not staged tidy tourist images is a bonus. I'm toying with signing for blog action day. Need to find out more first.

I'm glad you're feeling better. For me, it's hard to be xenophobic when you're living in Canada. But the fact that I can connet with people from all over the world still blows my mind and freaks me out every so often.

I too wish I had a picture like that when I had the daughter. Now, the only picture I have remotely similar, is me and the husband holding our fourth grandbaby. It's a love thing.
You know how to photograph love.

I wrote this as part of the second days post: “365 different photos, I’m daunted and intrigued at the same time. Daunted with the task of taking the images and writing words to tie it all together and intrigued at what will be here in a year’s time. Will anybody see this? Will it make any sense?” 70,849 words, 367 photos, 3014 comments, and 43358 visitors from 164 countries later and it’s all done, I’m 42 and have the answer to those questions. Yes somebody has seen it and no it really does not make much sense, but that really does not seem to matter that much. Have you ever put something off, that you really should have done, I have, getting assessed for dyslexia. Nearly my whole life I have had problems spelling, and have done every thing to avoid getting tested, why, because I was scared that I would not have it and be told I was just thick or lazy. Well yesterday I got tested, and the results surprised me. First I was informed that my reading ability was good to high, next I was informed that I have an IQ of over 120 (140 and over Genius or near genius 120-140 Very superior intelligence 110-120 Superior intelligence 90-110 Normal or average intelligence 80-90 Dullness 70-80 Borderline deficiency Below 70 Definite feeble-mindedness 70-80 Borderline deficiency 50-69 Moron 20-49 Imbecile below 20 Idiot.) They have changed the lower classification for a more PC wording but this is the original.
