Sodomy non sapiens

My first car was a VW Beetle, it was bottle green nearly as old as I was and was the original “one lady owner”. I loved that car, I had it before I could drive and had to have it garaged a mile from home to keep it safe and save on tax and insurance. Every few days I would go down and sit in the car in the garage and just run the motor for a couple of minuets, until someone pointed out that it might be a good idea to move it out of the garage first. Beetle are great, cold, noisy, slow, but great, you feel like a member of a special family, other drivers flash and wave and people who owned them years ago still talk with affection of their cars individual faults, and faults they have in abundance. On my first try to impress Caz, I took her out in my bug, all went swimmingly until it started to rain, the windscreen wipers refused to come back once they had traveled over the screen and would only move if pushed from the passenger side, Caz spent the rest of the drive with a wet left arm (she still married me!).

I had one of those!! It was my first car too, yellow and I loved it. The heater was either jammed on (boiling) or off (freezing) and it never quite caught up with the seasons!!
Keps expression in the last frame is priceless!

Wow!!!!! And that exclamation is nothing to do with your photo for once! I checked out the Dave Grohl/Taylor Hawkins YouTube video for Stairway... absolutely hilarious - and it brought all my old being-in-a-band nostalgia flooding back! That is why we play in bands - it's a feeling like nothing else in the world.

Dave Grohl must surely be the coolest rock god - is there nothing the guy can't do? And he seems just a really really nice bloke!

Incidentally, have you ever heard snare/bass and just 2 cymbals sound like THAT (nice one, Taylor)! Great drumming.

Climate change, I have to admit that I’m very skeptical about the existence of climate change and the whole global warming thing. My basis for this is that we (humans) have only been here for such a short time and for a large period of that were not really in a position to judge what was happening around us. I wrote this as part of the second days post: “365 different photos, I’m daunted and intrigued at the same time. Daunted with the task of taking the images and writing words to tie it all together and intrigued at what will be here in a year’s time. Will anybody see this? Will it make any sense?” 70,849 words, 367 photos, 3014 comments, and 43358 visitors from 164 countries later and it’s all done, I’m 42 and have the answer to those questions. Yes somebody has seen it and no it really does not make much sense, but that really does not seem to matter that much. I wanted to mark the passing of a year in my life and have ended up with a fantastic record of a year in both words and pictures. More than that it has changed my life, I have gained a confidence I never had, I can write without fear, my photography skill has improve and I realise that you can do nearly anything if you work at it. Have you ever put something off, that you really should have done, I have, getting assessed for dyslexia. Nearly my whole life I have had problems spelling, and have done every thing to avoid getting tested, why, because I was scared that I would not have it and be told I was just thick or lazy. Well yesterday I got tested, and the results surprised me. First I was informed that my reading ability was good to high, next I was informed that I have an IQ of over 120 (140 and over Genius or near genius 120-140 Very superior intelligence 110-120 Superior intelligence 90-110 Normal or average intelligence 80-90 Dullness 70-80 Borderline deficiency Below 70 Definite feeble-mindedness 70-80 Borderline deficiency 50-69 Moron 20-49 Imbecile below 20 Idiot.) They have changed the lower classification for a more PC wording but this is the original. Lastly I was informed that I am Dyslexic and my writing and spelling were well below what my intelligence suggested (that why it takes me forever
